Implementing production optimization technology shouldn’t feel overwhelming. While there are technical components involved in connecting systems and configuring wells, the overall onboarding process with Ambyint follows a clear, structured path.
Here’s what customers can expect once they decide to move forward.
Before a contract is finalized, we work with your team to confirm a few foundational items:
- What SCADA system you are using
- Whether you’ve worked with MQTT
- What data points are available at your RTU’s
- Confirmation of RTU/POC types and available data
This step is about confirming that the required data exists. We use streamlined pre-documentation templates to keep things efficient and focused, so by the time the agreement is signed we’ve already aligned on the critical technical requirements.
Once the deal is signed and IT requirements are complete, we hold a planning session. This is not a full kickoff, but rather a coordination meeting designed to:
- Align on timelines
- Understand when your teams can begin their configuration work
- Outline what Ambyint will need and when
- Set expectations for how the integration will progress
After this session, we provide:
- MQTT broker connection certificates
- Static data setup templates
- Clear instructions for completing the required configuration
At this stage, our Implementation and Integration teams will work with your team to get Ambyint on your wells.
An important step in the process is configuration within your SCADA system. To enable data transmission to Ambyint, your team will complete configuration work on your side.
Once configuration is complete and data begins to flow to Ambyint, we are then able to validate the incoming data and confirm the data reflects operational expectations. Regular integration meetings may occur during this phase, depending on the customer’s needs and preferences.
After data validation is complete, we conduct a writeback test to confirm that communication systems are functioning properly, completing the end of the integration.
How Long Does This Take?
Typically 2-4 weeks. Integrations timelines vary depending on how configuration work can be completed on the customers side.
What to Expect
Getting started with Ambyint can be defined by the following sequence:
From the first planning session through writeback testing, our team works alongside yours to ensure a smooth transition into autonomous well control.
